05.16.10: Diana Joseph & Rob Wilder - I'm Sorry You Feel That Way

Diana Joseph is a debut memoirist whose new book I'm Sorry You Feel That Way: The Astonishing but True Story of a Daughter, Sister, Slut, Wife, Mother, and Friend to Man and Dog(Berkely, $15.00) was called scrappy and wisecracking by O Magazine. It has brazen sexuality, a golden heart, and a hard-boiled sense of humor - and is ultimately a memoir about what it's like to be a modern, smart woman making her way in the world. Joseph's mordant sense of humor will endear her to fans of Dave Sedaris and Sarah Vowell.

Robert Wilder is the author of two critically acclaimed books of essays: Tales From The Teachers' Loungeand Daddy Needs a Drink, both of which have been optioned for television and film. He will read from his essay in the collection What I Would Tell Her: 28 Devoted Dads on Bringing Up, Holding On To and Letting Go of Their Daughters (Harlequin, $13.95),an exploration of the complex, enigmatic bond they have with their daughters - which is often funny, sometimes heartbreaking, and always unflinchingly tender.

He was awarded the 2009 Innovations in Reading Prize by the National Book Foundation, and lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
