Lois Lowry, author of The Giver, for her new book, Son

10/12/2012 6:00 pm

Bookworks is proud to announce an event with Lois Lowry, Newbery Medal-winning author of The Giver, for her new book, Son. Son is the exciting conclusion to the Giver Quartet.

Lois will visit Albuquerque on October 12, 2012 for an event at 6 p.m.
This event will be held at UNM Continuing Education Auditorium 1634 University Boulevard NE. This event is FREE and open to the public. No ticket is required for entrance.

However, Bookworks will offer priority seating to people who buy a copy of Lois' new book from Bookworks, either online or in-store. Priority seating will be in the first five rows from the stage (we may add more rows if needed), and no tickets will be sold - simply show your online or in-store purchase receipt from Bookworks to access priority seating on the night of the event. People with priority seating will also receive priority placement in the book-signing line after the event.

Priority seating is available NOW with any pre-order of Son on the Bookworks website, or in-store. One book purchase will admit two people into priority seating; if you have a larger group of people wishing to sit together, you will need to purchase enough books to access priority seating for your entire party. (We will allow children under five to sit with accompanying adults for FREE in priority seating, as long as they are with an adult who has bought a book from Bookworks.) Priority seating on the night of the event will begin at 5:30. Regular seating will begin at 5:45.

Lois' new book will not be available until its release date until Oct. 2, 2012. If you order the book online, you will have it delivered to your house, or may pick it up at the store, on or after Oct. 2. Pre-orders placed in-store may be picked up on or after Oct. 2. Per signed agreement with the publisher, we cannot sell the book to anyone prior to the Oct. 2 release date.
Please email kids@bkwrks.com for more information about class or bulk book orders for the event. Please email events@bkwrks.com if you have questions about the event, or priority seating.
