Ras Rody has been operating a roadside farmstand in Jamaica for 20+ years. He makes traditional Rastafarian dishes utilizing produce he sources from the hills surrounding his home, and over the years his cuisine has come to provide way more than just nourishment. In fact, his restaurant operates as something of a cultural epicenter, educating its regulars on healthy eating, fostering important discussion, and teaching the young ones about their cultural roots. His self-published cookbook will help him spread the gospel worldwide. He now lives in Albuquerque's North Valley, and will be sharing his cookbook - and some delicious food samples - with Bookworks on Feb. 7.
