Bookworks hosts three adult book clubs and three youth book groups each month at our store.
ADULT BOOK CLUBS:
The Bookworks Book Club meets the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm at our store. BWBC is our store's longest-running book club. The group focuses on thought-provoking new fiction and nonfiction chosen by its members. The club is free and open to the public. Most selections are available in paperback and Bookworks has a list of upcoming selections. The group's meetings and readings are also available on our events calendar.
Vamos a Leer Book Club meets the occasional Monday during the school year at 5pm: This group is for educators and community members looking for engaging young adult literature with Latino themes. To see the current title and a list of titles, please visit Vamos a Leer's website. The group's meetings and readings are also available on our events calendar.
The Austen Project Book Club meets the fourth Monday of each month at 2 pm. The Austen Project has republished Jane Austen's books written by contemporary authors, and they are the focus of this club. Bring a mug or a cup of tea. More info about this club is available by emailing email@example.com. The group's meetings and readings are available on our events calendar.
KIDS BOOK CLUBS:
We have a Book Testers Book Club for kids ages 12-18 who want to read advance readers copies of forthcoming books and discuss them together. Email Connie at firstname.lastname@example.org or check our calendar for details!
DO IT YOURSELF!
We are always open to book clubs who need a place to meet for a single book discussion or possibly for a recurring monthly event (though space is limited for monthly book clubs). Please email email@example.com or call 505-344-8139 for more information about book clubs at Bookworks.
