A young peasant from a remote Roman vassal, Zeus, is forced out into the ancient world. He struggles to realize his purpose during the eruption of conflicting empires in the first century CE. Born in a peaceful household, he is shocked to realize how much of his life was shaped by violence. He leaves his home to find answers, to find himself and discovers a world sickened with incurable suffering. Along the road, a wayward traveler and exiled counselor to the court of the Chinese emperor takes him under his wing.
