Abednego Mandlenkosi Maphumulo is an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Maphumulo formerly taught IsiZulu at the University of Zululand and the University of Pretoria before joining the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He is a member of the IsiZulu National Language Body (IsiZulu NLB) and has published numerous literary works.
