Recently discovered artifacts in Pensacola, Florida, have unearthed the first Spanish colony, founded by Don Tristan de Luna in 1559. Sharon Duplantis began her studies in art and photography, first receiving an A.A. in Graphic Arts, then a B.S. in Education. While teaching, photography continued to be a life-long love and area of constant study and practice. Returning to Pensacola after 30 years, Sharon found a very different city from the one she left and has taken much joy in reconnecting with her hometown through the medium of photography.
