Arantza Sestayo was born in the Basque region of Spain. A self-taught artist, she began her professional career with portraiture, ceramic design, and cartoon backgrounds. She was later commissioned by the Town Council of Castellón to decorate the façade of the Ateneo Culture House. Her work can be seen in A Game of Thrones: The Illustrated Edition, Spectrum, Infected by Art, and the ARC International Salon Competition Catalogues. She has designed several book covers for Penguin Random House as well. Some images of her work have been used in merchandising products by Schmidt, Bioworld, and Heavy Metal.
