Bookworks is pleased to support the Mobile Abolition Library in holding a book drive to help fill the library. The goal is to create a collection of books, zines, a video archive of incarcerated narratives, and an abolition seed library. Led by Art for Justice fellow sheri rider and Bernadine Hernández and Martín Wannam, members of FRONTERISTXS Collective, the library will be a site to reflect on ways we can re-imagine our current world of surveillance, policing, punishment, and care between communities.
In the spirit of generosity and abolition, we hope to have multiple copies of books to leave with readers and communities. Readers, bibliofiles and book lovers, and abolitionists world wide are encouraged to purchase the books for the traveling library. Use the list below to purchase a book to help fill the library and learn more about this project here.
