Two beloved Albuquerque poets read new and select works.

Renny Golden is a writer, professor emerita, poet, and social justice activist.  My books reflect concerns for those made voiceless or marginalized. Her book Blood Desert: Witnesses, 1820-1880 (UNM Press) won the WILLA Literary Award for poetry in 2011, was named a Southwest Notable Book of the Year in 2012, and was a finalist for the New Mexico-Arizona Book Award. Her new book is Music of her Rivers.

Demetria Martinez is an author, activist, creativity coach and journalist based in New Mexico.  She is the author of the acclaimed sanctuary movement novel Mother Tongue, books of poetry including The Devil’s Workshop and Breathing Between the Lines, and essays in Confessions of a Berlitz Tape Chicana.
